Yvonne's Reflections on Shiatsu:

I absolutely feel passionate and love practising Shiatsu; its always such a beneficial experience for myself and the client because I immediately observe and receive the reward of helping people; in any health condition. Everyone receives Shiatsu individually and depending on health conditions treatment will be adapted to their needs. Each treatment is different and individualized as the client's needs change on a daily basis.  During the treatment wearing natural loose cotton clothing is most beneficial because it is comfortable during the treatment. I practice the traditional style of Shiatsu which is practiced on a soft surface on the floor. The whole body treatment usually is approximately 90 minutes long. After the treatment I recommend the receiver to relax for a few minutes, drink lots of water, and to be aware of how long the treatment has helped during the week.  Ongoing consistent treatments are recommended for the prevention of stress, illness, and aching muscles.
